1. Start Trading Stocks in Companies
From an early age, my father introduced me to the stock market and encouraged me to learn more about it. As I have gotten older and more involved in the business world, I have become very interested in the stock market, eagerly wanting to trade. For the past year I have invested money into the S&P 500 and kept up with it on a daily basis. Although it has been exciting to keep track of the S&P 500, a basket of the 500 top companies, I have a goal this year to start investing in specific companies themselves. This goal will take research, analysis, and risk taking, but I believe that becoming involved in the stock market in college will prove very beneficial later in life.
2. Reach a Leadership Position on Campus
Throughout my first year at Texas A&M, I was able to get involved in several organizations on campus. I was very thankful for my experiences in organizations such as The Big Event, Phi Gamma Delta, and Startup Aggieland. My first year at Texas A&M served as a great year for me to get accustomed to the culture of both the university and the organizations I joined. As I move forward into my sophomore year, my goal is to attain a leadership role in one these three organizations. If attained, this goal will help mature me as a leader, teaching me how to work with others and make crucial decisions.
